Altrincham & Hale decorating guide
Coordinating rooms and architectural details. Practical points to prepare before requesting a quote.

Coordinating rooms and architectural details
Create a room-by-room list of walls, ceilings, doors and woodwork. Identify features you want to retain and note where old and new finishes meet, especially around extensions and adjoining rooms.
Colours and finishes
Use one shared palette as a starting point, then test samples in each room. Lighting, flooring and furnishings can change the result, so avoid choosing every colour from a single small sample.
Before requesting a price
Send your full postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions and your preferred dates. Explain any access restrictions and whether furniture needs to stay in place. Ask for preparation, materials and the surfaces included to be set out in the written quotation.
For properties with special restrictions, confirm any relevant requirements before changing the exterior or original features.
